Transformation: Starting Over

The holidays of Light start Monday night when Rosh Hashanah begins. It actually ends at the end of Yom Kippur October 9th. This is a holiday of Light because it is an opportunity to empty the vessel and refill it with Light.

How many of us would like a fresh beginning a new start? This is an opportunity to psychologically draw a finish line and begin a new race. If you have been in the rat race for the last year and are just tired of spinning your wheels, this holiday can be the opportunity. It can physically be the zero based budget (don’t look at last year, start with a new ledger). It can spiritually be the re-commitment of faith, the chance to attract a new sort of energy. It can be, so to speak, the opportunity to release the lack and old energy in a spiritual bankruptcy: An opportunity to wipe out our spiritual debts and begin a new.

We all know about the concept of financial bankruptcy and the perception attached to it. However, spiritual bankruptcy can be of a true “higher” endeavor. We admit where we have erred, we seek Divine assistance and we surrender to the Creative Force. We resolve to change and to make changes that will significantly alter the way we think. Yes, change your thoughts, change your life. However, spiritual bankruptcy is not just an agreement between you and your higher self. It is an agreement between you and G-d. It is a deeply soul searching process in which you own your past, take accountability for your actions, and plan your future.

This is one process of the High Holidays if you are not going to participate in an actual Rosh Hashanah process. The process is to take an account of your life up to now.

·         Look at the last year and make a list of all the actions you personally did that you may want to repent.

·         For example, a look of all the negativity that you may have attracted. A list of the personal traits you wish to leave behind.

·          A list of things that no longer serve you.

·         A list of the worst part of your life that you are ready to move away from.

·          Next, a list of all the great things: people, events, traits, the good you are attracting, etc.

·         Finally, a list of what you want to manifest for the year: traits, events, etc.

·         It is a great idea to burn the negative list or at least to tear it up after having admitted it.

·         Then meditate on your new list for the future committing it to memory.

This is where you become a co-creator with G-d. You are creating for yourself a pro-active future-- A future that you consciously created.

This process, of creating ourselves a new life, gives us our chance to renew ourselves. This holiday take the time to renew. When the soul goes through this type of purge and renew we attract the forces of Light and Creation in a very direct way. This means we also have responsibility to create the best. Kabbalah says we build up our vessel so it can hold more Light and then we share the Light. When we go through this type of process, we must be careful what we think, as manifestation is immediate. Normally it takes time for our thoughts to manifest in the world for we are not proactively creating. It is more a process of conscious and subconscious thoughts intermingling. This process will make creation more powerful and more immediate. Therefore, we need to create responsibly & proactively a beautiful life. We also need to watch our thoughts more closely and our hidden deceptions and beliefs. On the other hand, it is a beautiful opportunity to create a new, joyful, peaceful, and divinely oriented life.

This gift is not just for us. On Rosh Hashanah, we give the gift to the world of attracting the Light and sharing the Light. When each of us can connect to our own Light (our own Messiah energy), we bring to the world our Light to share. We build the Vessel to hold more Light and we share the Light. We wipe out our spiritual debts (our Karma, our Tikkun) by proactively connecting to the Creator, confessing, and erasing them. We then re-build. In essence, we each take on the process of Noah. We purify and re-create. Noah was a message to us. It is all right to wipe out the past and begin anew. Spiritual bankruptcy is a gift, which demonstrates to us the power of forgiveness, the power of being in the Light, the power of self-acceptance, the power of creation.

Happy creating to you all and may we create with beauty, kindness, prosperity, love, happiness and peace.
